Laurie is a bluegrass and bluegrass gospel singer from central Alabama. Her sound is best described as traditional, keeping true to the classic bluegrass foundation established by some of her favorite bluegrass legends such the Carter Family and Jim & Jesse. Her gospel repertoire focuses on well-known hymns that continue to inspire many through timeless lyrics devoted to sharing the gospel of Christ and His love for us all. This debut album is a solo acoustic effort presenting a mixture of traditional folk, bluegrass, and bluegrass gospel music. The song selections represent some of her favorites as well as two of her original songs, Victory Over the Grave and He Picked Me Up. You'll also find a few of her most-requested songs, such as Wayfaring Stranger and Danny Boy.
