Former Miles/Elvin Jones' saxophonist Dave Liebman, Anthony Jackson, Mike Stern together with Liebman's regular group members, Tony Marino, Marko Marcinko and Vic Juris turn in an incredible set inspired by this important moment in musical history.
Longtime Liebman fan, first heard him in the 70's on his album Drum Ode. Doesn't appear Mr. Liebman's slowing down much, still has that fire most musicians lose as they age. Mike Stern contributes some tasteful playing as well. Very enjoyable cd!
