Double yellow colored vinyl LP pressing including bonus CD edition. Housed in gatefold jacket. Back in the World of Adventures is the first studio album released by the Swedish progressive rock band The Flower Kings.
Great recording from The Flower Kings circa 1994-95. This one goes a whopping 71+ minutes. One thing you can usually count on with The Kings is a lotta music. Many of them are lengthy two CD sets, even most of their single CDs like this one are fairly long. This album explodes from the title track and never lets up. Prog lovers heaven! As usual the musicianship on this album is amazing. Michael Stolt is fantastic on bass. And Hasse Bruniusson and Jaime Salazar share percussion and drum work, outstanding. What can we say about Roine Stolt, he is one of the absolute best guitarists in all of music, something he also proves with his stint in Transatlantic. Roine also gives us some really good work on keys as well. Hard to pick a favorite tune as they are all so good. This disc is one of top two or threes this band has released. I own quite a few and I've never been let down by these guys, even with the occasional line-up swaps. The King Flower is Roine Stolt, his vision seems to be pretty good.
