Continuing my exploration of Tyrone Davis and his recorded output - 'Turn Back The Hands of Time' is a GREAT album. There is a conceptual core to this album - a unity in terms of song selection, style and overall sound! The song selection is really top notch and Tyrone is singing at the top of his game. This album has everything that I had hoped for with Tyrone's first album (Can I Change My Mind) but didn't get, meaning an amazingly lush sound, great hooks and melodies. 'Turn Back The Hands of Time' is probably Tyrone's second most well known single: as the lead off track, it sets the tone for the entire album. With all this said, I wholeheartedly recommend this record. You won't be disappointed.
