Product Description

Keystone Revisited is a mirage and it's midnight at the oasis. Close your eyes and you can hear Jerry and Merl again. Bill Vitt is still on the drums -- the sole survivor -- but Tony Saunders, Merl's loving son, has brought back the spontaneity, the freedom, the spirit of the Merl Saunders-Jerry Garcia Band that cut that towering album, 'Live At the Keystone,' 40 years ago. JOEL SELVIN KEYSTONE REVISITED IS A GROUP ON A MISSION. THEY ARE PLAYING THE MUSIC OF MERL SAUNDERS AND JERRY GARCIA This Group of guys has bought people to the edge of ecstasy. They have made people remember the old days when Merl and Jerry Rocked. They have also bought some new music to the table that is first class. World renowned Bassist Tony Saunders shows what his Dad Merl Saunders taught him. He organized a group that included original drummer Bill Vitt from the Live at Keystone record and they play this music spectacular. Guitarist Michael Hinton, Jeff Pevar, Tom Duarte and Slick Aguilar all shine brightly. Former Chicago Lead singer BILL CHAMPLIN sings the title song 'Back At It Again'. Glen Walters sings 2 songs and Steve Abramson who sings and plays keyboards in the band sings the remaining vocal tunes. This is a must have CD for deadheads as the CD includes the first time Merl and Jerry ever played together at the Matrix in San Francisco in 1969.
