I was given the tape of this when it first came out. I loved it and listened to it until it played no more. I have not listened to it in years and decided I 'wanted it back'. And it stands the test of time. A mix of blues, jazz and pop music but with powerful lyrics so often, too often missing in today's music. I have always thought that if it weren't for people like Joan Armatrading there would be no Tracy Chapman's of the world. Her lyrics carry strong messages, create vignettes of our world that tell us who we are and who we want to be. I love this album.
