Shorts were above the knee and I stand at 5’ 5 1/2”. The (XL) shorts were more like a (M) or a (S) fit in my opinion. Good quality and breathable material it just didn’t fit me. I was gonna return them, but I decided to give them to my daughter to lay around the house in. I wouldn’t recommend these shorts if you’re looking for something below the knee or loose fitting in your size.
