This product seemed to take forever to get here - I thought, what are they sending it from China or something? Yes they were. But it works perfectly for what I bought it for - to pull the things that work the lights and the fan that hang from the ceiling fan in my living room. I have 10.5' high ceilings and am only 5'3", and the switch on the wall only turns the whole thing on or off. I did have to get out the vise grips and bend the tongs at the end a bit closer to a 90 degree angle to get it to grip the pulls properly. But it works great, and telescopes down to a small size so that I can keep it out of sight in a near by basket so that I can use it whenever I need to. I can't see raking a back with a metal device, or wanting it to have a clip at the end like a pocket pen, so can't see why anyone designed this item the way they did, and can't imagine that they would sell a lot of them. Maybe they had to make this one on a special order, and that added to the time it took for me to get it (ordered Jul 3, received Jul 18). So thank you whoever made this inexpensive and useful-for-my-purpose tool!
