Used these on a kayaking trip in Norway and they worked great. They fold up small enough so they're easy to store in a sea kayak. The large rubber tips on the legs prevent the chair from sinking into the ground and the high back makes them very comfortable. Having a comfortable chair to sit in rather sitting on a log or rock after a long day of kayaking was very nice. These chairs are great for packing on a motorcycle trip. When you need a break pop one out and kick back. I can sit in it with all my gear on and relax my back when I’m on top of a cold mountain. Work well on the beach and in the campground beats sitting on a hard picnic table after long days ride. They are easy to setup up if you follow directions and put the top on poles first. I weigh 215, 5’10 and with all gear quite a bit more and have not broken one but I don’t throw myself on it and just sit down easy each time. Nice design, perfect angle and easy to get up from. I’m 68 btw.Very comfy. I'm 6'2", 190lbs and this newer edition high back chair is way cozy! I lash it to the bottom exterior of my pack for quick setup and takedown. It also helps my pack stand upright. The chair legs have nice end caps to prevent the legs from sinking too deep into dirt, mud, snow, etc. The head rest is sewn in so, one less thing to pack/unpack. It's not ultra light but it's coziness makes up for it's weight. It's light-enough for me.Not suitable for backpacking, but wonderful for camping. Pretty compact, sturdy, easy to assemble and stow. I pop them in the shade when we are working in the yard. Cool chairs. No armrests, some people may complain about that. I dig em.Works for us… easy to put together, travels well, compact and we take it anywhere we goI really like how compact these chairs are. They are also easy to assemble. When you sit in them you recline quite a ways back. They are def meant for relaxation, not much else.Got these a few weeks ago as an alternative to the cheaper, much larger and heavier camping chairs that are sold everywhere.Love them so far, mostly. They pack extremely small and are extremely light! Fairly simple to set up and break down once you've done it a few times. Even the wife can do it, so there's that.So far the rather skinny aluminum stakes hold my 200lbs well. I hope they continue to do so, and the plastic connectors won't break anytime soon. I know there are some MUCH pricier premium options out there with better warranties and possibly better materials, but the cost difference is, uhm, breath-taking.So, why only 4 stars? First of all, they don't work well unless the ground is fairly even. Otherwise, either you feel like you fall forward, or it starts to twist if one of the skinny legs rests on a bump. They are fairly close together so you have to be a bit careful when lowering yourself into them. Which is recommended anyway so the sticks don't give out.Second, and that's just something for us larger types, when leaning down my shoulders get a bit squeezed. I wish it was about an inch wider apart on the top. And, being 6'2, the head rest is a few inches too low for me, so I can't really rest my head completely.Still, considering the size/weight, and how well your back is supported (compared to regular camping chairs) they are a keeper and hopefully last for a while. These chairs are easy to put up and super comfortable…..!!!!!Good comfortable chair to sit in as it’s higher than the usual ultralight backpacking chair. I already had a helinox zero from a tour of America’s Pacific Northwest that I bought in REI to give some desperately needed camping comfort. So in comparison I would say virtually the same materials wise and similar comfort. I prefer the cheap ones just because your sitting at a higher position and so it’s easier to get up. But the only downside is the moulded sockets that receive the aluminium poles to form the legs etc are a little too big for the poles which does give the chairs a little more flex than the helinox but for the money it’s a very acceptable payoff. Would buy againWanted something that my wife and I could easily carry to open air shows , picnics etc as we’re in our late 60’s . Bought the orange as it was a lot cheaper . Takes about 5 mins to put up , it reasonably comfortable, could easily carry two in small backpack as they pack-up small . Have used 3-4 times including some Shakespeare in the park , so sitting for a couple of hours . Would highly recommendBought these for a festival and holiday, do far we've found them a lot more sturdy and comfortable than we anticipatedfair enough it is a little more expensive than just normal camping chair, but it is worth every penny, recently went to a festival and we had people actually asking us to try it as it looks great as well!We bought these for our camper. They pack away so easy so perfect to stow away. Easy to assemble and comfy to sit in. We haven't actually used them yet so cannot comment on their durability as yet.
