We're on a blind curve and cars come down a hill from the left at 40+mph. For years I've had a flat mirror on a post across the street, but it wasn't really doing the job, so we upgraded to the 36" convex mirror. Had it only about 3 weeks, so it's too soon to say how sturdy it is, but so far it's been great.Installation wasn't too hard because we were able to reuse some of the existing hardware on the post. Others may need to get more brackets or screws than are in the kit.This is one of those products which once you own it you wonder how you survived without it. Our driveway is hidden from view by hedges on a rather sharp curve. Over the years, traffic has increased and fewer drives come even close to the 35 mph speed limit. This mirror is worth every penny because of how much safer it has made daily life. I mounted it on the far side of the road from my driveway and now we have ample warning of approaching vehicles. You may be tempted to decide on a smaller version of this item. If your situation is anything like mine, you will not want to make that mistake. The convex design gives a very wide field of view, so objects appear smaller. You need a large mirror to compensate for this design trade off. The included mounting hardware allows for easy adjustment and a secure final setting that still allows the large disc to shed wind by flexing as necessary. Since it is acrylic, it is lightweight compare to glass. I will update this review when I can say more about durability. After several thunder storms, my mirror still looks like new.Good clarity and large enough for safely seeing what's around a turn or over a crest.Easy enough to mount and there's good mounting hardware included.It would be better if it had a dish adjustment to be able to pull some of the convexity out of the surface.Not a bad price. An accurate description would of been well, accurate and honest.Took a bit longer to ship than I'd like but they came packaged nicely and just as described. Did my research and these suit my needs with the back not being cardboard.had to put it up for our fence (Corner property) for the driveway. Does the job.Great product hold up good outsideLike it alot
