Like the comfort & sleek look but it is an extra step to change from passenger to driver. I’ve used a variety of pillows but the comfort of this one makes the extra step worth it!Went on a 14 hour drive with a herniated disc, was hoping this would help. Ultimately without it I would have been in a lot more pain, I was able to sit for so long without hurting my lower back. At the same time it could have been more comfortable if the side cushions were bigger for better support.I did something weird to my upper back/shoulder/neck area about a year ago and a drive from MI to NJ and back caused me so much pain that I called the chiropractor the day after I got back. This was a big deal for me because I usually can't be bothered to see a doctor and unless I'm, like, going into labor for my kids or something, I tend to just grin and bear it. The chiropractor helped a great deal, but as soon as I got into my seat to drive, the pain would be back. For months I tried adjusting the seat all over the place to no avail. I started trying out support pillows and purchased 3 of the most highly rated on amazon and none of them did much. They kind of just forced the pain into another part of the back. This pillow thing was buried further down on the amazon search results, but it caught my attention because it looked different than the others. I was very skeptical because it made no sense to me that having something pushing into the spine area of my back would help in any way, but someone else mentioned in the reviews that they were also skeptical and were surprised by how effective the shape was. So, despite the cost and my skepticism, I decided to try it out. I am amazed...this has been almost life-changing. I didn't know how much I was struggling with the pain until I got rid of it. At this point, the pain is pretty much gone (of note: I continued to see my chiropractor, but this kept the pain away between sessions). The pain will occasionally show up while I'm driving, but I just have to readjust the pillow on my back a little, and the pain disappears almost immediately. To give you all some reference points, I drive a Toyota Sienna and I don't really have lower back issues, so I do not know if this will help with those issues. I also have terrible posture, so that may play into the success of the product for me. Anyway, I'm SO happy I tried this! Now I need to figure out what to do with all the useless car pillows I have stacked in my basement. With all the fancy electronics being put into even base-model modern cars, it's frustrating how poorly the average car seat supports your hips and spine. After a fair amount of research, I settled on the Kulik system. The appearance is a bit odd, but it's actually a clever design.First, the design is a winner because it doesn't involve an elasticized seat cover to hold the pads and can shift as they stretch. Second, the system is designed to fit within the side bolsters of the existing seat without taking up excessive room. Third, the side elastics and top web straps are well-executed in terms of both the positioning function and durability.Initially, you're going to be disappointed when you unbox this. It will feel too thin and too soft to be effective. The materials will make you question the price. However, as you look closely, you'll see the manufacturing details are reasonably good as is the material quality. It is absolutely ESSENTIAL to experiment with the positioning of the Kulik. It will probably need to be mounted higher than you expect to provide the necessary lumbar support.Does it work? In a word, YES! Although not as firm as I'd hoped, it provides just enough support to encourage the appropriate lumbar curve. The upper section also allows your ribs a slight amount of posterior flex that opens up your chest and further improves the spinal curve. The only criticism that I have is that the side bolster of the Kulik can be a bit of a pain to get past as you slide into your seat. You need to either reach behind you to keep it from folding over or just learn to adjust your seat entry about an inch forward to avoid it. I doubt that the system will be durable enough to last more than a couple of years, but it works so well that I'll happily replace it. (N.B. They are a VERY low production company and you may need to wait several weeks to get your preferred color.)I am still using it now after months - very glad I purchased it - I always wonder what others think about my car with that on the driver's seat - great for people who drive distances. Better support means a better back for me. It also appears to be able to hold up just find with my in and out and the desert heat.2021 WRX, thin female driver with significant lower back curvature.I was genuinely looking at selling my base model for the limited ($8k more) just to get the power seats and have lumbar support. I couldn't handle the back pain anymore and was sometimes driving with a towel behind my back to help give support. All the other lumbar support cushions I tried were either too much or too little, or I didn't feel comfortable using them because they would interfere with the side airbags. The day after I got this I went for a 12-hour drive and had zero back pain. The straps sit down low enough on the seat that I don't worry about airbag interference, and it genuinely changes the feel of the car. My car is of course a stick shift and when I push the clutch in I have noticed without back support that is when I really put the pressure on that lumbar area, this cushion is firm enough to hold against that pressure but soft enough to feel good while I'm driving. This cushion honestly saved me thousands of dollars that I was ready to spend for a limited trim just to get a power seat that wouldn't hurt my back.I do wish the bottom strap was a little longer and the top strap that goes around the headrest was a little shorter, but that's just me being nitpicky. This has changed my driving experience! 10/10 recommend.good product ,bit harsh to start with but soon softens ,it does tend to shift each time you get in the car ,but soon rectifiedBought this as I have the “back shield” which is a great product but I found that my back would be drenched after driving because there was barely any airflow. I thought the design of this would help promote more air circulation but still have the same issue. Otherwise it’s a comfortable support for the back. For me I have to constantly adjust it as it feels it doesn’t sit on my back properly. I’ve only had it for a few weeks so maybe it’ll get better.good for six months! Then it gets flat!It fits the car well (2021 Elantra) and it's comfortable. It's allowed me to be able to sit in the passenger seat for long trips.
