I needed a comfortable, supportive desk chair that was adjustable in height yet was not bulky. This Lorell mid-back chair fit my needs. The wheels roll easily on our hardwood floors. I'm 5'8 and the back support reaches just below the shoulder near the scapula. The seat is well padded and is wide enough for someone having a 42-44 waist. If it would have an inch or two wider seat it would be even better but it is adequate even for a "big boy".The chair swivels and tilts. Some reviews state that the chair does not tilt, but it does. The side arm under the right side of chair seat slides out and "unlocks" the tilt mechanism. The under seat knob adjust the tilt tension.All in all, this is a very comfortable, supportive desk chair that is not bulky. After several weeks of use I highly recommend it and would buy again.
