Charged it the day I installed it and solar has handled it from there. However, even the wind blowing my outdoor hanging plants can set it off. It said it work with human heat induction or whatever. Over all, it works.Not bright at all. I have a similar light that is really bright from a different seller. This one is not bright at all.The sellers were really nice, but I had to contact them because when I ordered it, it did say "batteries included" and when I got it, the instructions say "open the battery compartment and insert batteries" as well as a bunch of other stuff concerning "important instructions" about the batteries. There were no batteries included and I looked everywhere and couldn't find the battery "compartment". WELL - turns out the batteries are built into the unit. There are NO separate batteries "included" and there is no "battery Compartment", nor do any of the "important instructions" concerning the batteries apply. So it's been out in the sun all day charging, we'll see how it works tonight.AND after the full charge - they work great. Very brightGreat light for the money
