For a kid who spent hours gorging on Amar Chitra Katha, Tinkle, Indrajal Comics, Tintin and Asterix, that kid can never escape from an aging body. I was waiting for my copy as intently as my daughter. I made sure I read it first before she could grab it! This little story with such beautiful illustrations brought back so many memories of stories like “Ghonu Jha and his calf”, “Balan and his Donkey”, “Jungle Book” and many more that beautifully captured the relationship between animals and humans with a good heart. You will obviously want to see Beni Ram happy and who better to give him that joy than his very own Bholu! A big Kudos to Kavitha and Niloufer for the beautiful illustrations. As an adult, this might appear to be a 60-second read. But read it like a kid and even the subtle message of modernization/urbanization vs Life’s simple pleasures will reach you through that gentle smile of Bholu! I wish the author and her team all the Very Best to keep coming up with many more such hearteningly beautiful tales!
