These sandals were purchased to wear after a knee surgery when I would be unable to bend my knee for some time to put on more complicated sandals. They can slide on relatively easily, although the upper part of the sandal is not loose. If your feet are swollen or larger, it could be too tight, and there is little give. The sole is thick and inflexible, which is for my purposes not a negative. The material seems very sturdy, easy to clean, and resistant to scuffs.The only issue with the shoe is that the closing mechanism relies on pushing rubber pegs through holes, such that only friction holds it in place. If your foot is a little small or a little big, you may not be able to use all three holes, which further reduces its holding power. One shoe stays closed quite well for me, but the other pop opens if it's not secured on all three pegs, and sometimes even when it is.As shower shoes, these would be great. As shoes to wear around a water park or something, maybe less so.Also just as a side note, they smell fantastic - like a floral patchouli-reminiscent perfume. I don't know if that's intentional or just coincidental, but since I keep them in my physical therapy bag, the whole bag smells fantastic now.If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would.
