These JOTTI Vegan Leather Hardcover Executive Journal Notebooks are easy to use for recording events, activities, thoughts, and so on. The pair of journals is constructed from acid free 100 GSM thick lined paper. The 5.65 inch X 8.30 inch journals are sewn so they lay flat for writing ease. Each journal contains 160 lined pages and each page has a space to note the date of the writing.The notebooks come with an elastic closure and a ribbon page-marker. They also have a generous back pocket, and a pen loop so you always have a writing instrument at the ready. They really have everything you need in a quality notebook.My son has been using his journals daily to keep track of doings that are important to him and that he wants to record. These notebooks have been just what he needs, they are easy to use, and he has been quite pleased with them. He likes the bright gold color of the binding and it makes them easy to spot. They were a great choice.These journals took a bit of time to arrive and when they did, one journal was a bit crinkled in one corner. Not a huge deal, but if these were meant for a gift, it might have been an issue. I love the pocket in the back of the notebook. I also like the overall weight and feel of the paper, as well as just the feel of the journal is nice.I got the gold and silver metallic set of notebooks, and I really like the colors. The pages are lined, and the paper quality is excellent. The journal overall is very durable.My only gripe is the cover isn't my favorite. The texture of the faux leather is really slippery. I don't know, it feels a little weird. And the cover also has the jotti logo debossed (indented) into it. It's not super noticeable, but I would have preferred to not have the brand so prominently displayed. I still use the journals all the time, though, and I'm happy with it.I like that JOTTI offers so many colors! I can’t tell you how many black notebooks I have, and since I usually have a few started at a time, it’s super easy to get them mixed up.I have the JOTTI notebooks in Silver. The covers have a very slight metallic sheen. Not quite as metallic as I thought they would be, it almost looks like a matte silver. “jotti” is debossed into the front cover, spine, and back of each notebook.Each notebook has an elastic pen loop and elastic closure, both in silver. The ribbon bookmark is also silver. The inside front cover has “jotti” printed on it and the inside back cover has a pocket.The paper is 100gsm. I wrote with a blue Sharpie Pen and a dark green Stabilo 88, both 0.4mm nibs. I had slight bleed through with both, but not enough to keep me from using the back of the page.The line spacing looks to be a touch wider than college ruled. I’ve included a comparison picture with a college ruled notebook.These are very nice journals for less than 10$ each. That is not easy to find. The cover is sturdy, paper is good quality and has a strap, pen ring, and a folder in the back. Everything a good journal should have. Overall, a great value.Nice deep blue color, good feel, this is a perfect gift for somebody who's a serious journaler. Very happy with this 2 pack.I'm no notebook expert but I really like these. I like the color. I like the soft cover material. I like the weight and color of the paper and its absorbency.If you want a journal that's soft-cover I think it's an excellent choice. These are lined with a date field and that's perfect for me because I got these to start a journal.Good quality
