These work great, same light output as stock bulbs which is nice. Some bulbs can be way too bright, I'm not trying to blind people while turning. Been working good, had to put in a led rated flasher relay for these and the led brake lights. I find it is best to put in a new relay instead of the inline resistors. It's cheaper and easier to replace.even changing out the front with a LED and leaving the rear as incandescent the leaf still has the hyper flash issue, furthermore, there is no 'flasher relay' on the leaf to change so you can only fix the flash rate with a resistor, however, then you lose all the power savings of having LEDsThey don't lick in like oem. Both of the ones I installed are sitting in the bottom of my turn signal lenses. Very disappointed ☹️Brighter than the incandescent I replaced.Work as advertised apart from the fact that they do need load resistors to stop hyper flashing.There is a lip between the corn cob and base that has to be dremeled down before you can install these in bullet housings on a motorcycle. Probably won't run into this issue with car housings, but if it says the base fits, it should fit. It isn't like it was too long. Light output is a modicum better than incandescents. All in all, meager reward for the trouble I went through. Got one extra star for the cool effect it has in the reflector bowl.The Katur super bright looks to be of good quality. I have not installed them in the landscape trailer as of yet.Item arrived in a timely fashion thats why I gave it 1 star. They are amber as advertised, but they are as dim as the 5yr old halogen parking/turn signal lights already in my vehicle. I held a 400 lumens flashlight up to these for comparison and the flashlight was about 20 times brighter. There is no way in any universe that these are even 100 lumens let alone 800! If your just looking for some dim amber leds to say you have led's then go ahead and get them. If your looking for bright amber led lights to use for parking or turn signal lights...go else where. I would also add, I bought only two. One would blink, the other would not.Fitted in a Wolseley 18/85 II as tail/brake lights. Nice and bright - much lower current draw than the incandescents (headlights no longer flicker at idle) and quicker switching. They aren't too bright at night because the Wolseley has a headlight circuit with a brake light brightness control - would be very much brighter in a car not fitted with the system (practically everything).NOTE: older classics are often 6v or 12v and are either negative or positive earth. These bulbs will work with negative earth 12v cars and *possibly* with 6v negative earth systems only. DO NOT take a vehicle retrofitted with any upgraded lights or renewed bulbs out on the road without testing their functionality FIRST. *Never* assume that things like brake lights and indicators are working (in all modes of action) unless you have checked them with the mk 1 eyeball.These are easy to recommend and would look especially good in clear style lenses. The lensed cap on the top of the bulb quite accurately mimics the brightness and appearance of the incandescent BAY15D bulbs fitted as standard. Incidentally as far as I have been able to gather, the BA15D bulbs are the ones with the contacts in one flat plane, and the BAY15D have the staggered contacts. Since they are both listed as 1157 packages you need to check your specific bulbs.RecommendedUpdate: in the bright sun we've recently been having here these have very good visibility. Definitely clearer than the original 21/5w incands.These red LED lamps make excellent replacements for conventional (incandescent) dual-filament P21/5W tail/brake lamps. Both the tail and braking illumination are, to my eye, slightly brighter than the incandescent lamps I bought them to replace, which were Osram 7528 12V P21/5W bulbs.Most important of all, when the brake is operated, there is a really large increase in brightness, over the tail light-only (sidelights on) illumination. So it will be obvious to following drivers that you have hit the brakes. This is not the case with some other LED tail/brake lamps that I tried.I bought these for an aging motorcycle, where the alternator was finding it challenging to both run the lights and charge the battery at the same time. Measuring the power consumption of one LED lamp, at 12.5V I got,Tail only illumination: 0.65WBrake only illumination: 2.5WSo tail and brake together were 3.15W, which agrees with the advertised wattage, reducing power consumption, per bulb, by around 88 percent.I bought these bulbs to replace the BAY15D tail light/brake light bulbs in my Renault Scenic III 1.6 as I believe LEDs are better for brake lights, since they illuminate almost immediately and last longer than comparable filament bulbs when switching on and off repeatedly.However, these bulbs do not work as intended. Enabling the tail lights results in maximum illumination and braking provides no illumination (unless they’re already illuminated from enabling the tail lights, in which case they do not illuminate further, contrary to expectations).I’m well versed in fitting automotive lighting (I have an NVQ level 3 for vehicle technicians), so I’m well aware of how these bulbs should be fitted. They can only be installed correctly in one orientation, due to the pin configuration (one pin is higher than the other), so I know I installed them correctly. I tried placing (but not fully installing) the bulbs in the other way to determine if the polarity was incorrect, but this resulted in no illumination from the bulbs whatsoever. The original filament bulbs that I was intending to replace worked fine, so it’s most definitely not a fault with the vehicle.I wanted these to work well. I wanted to like them. But they don’t work as advertised, so they’ve been returned.Bulbs look good quality. Don't know if they work or not as didn't realise even though the holding pins are at 12 and 6 o'clock they are at different heights. Amazon said they would fit my car but they don't. Tried to return but would have to pay £3.99 return postage. Before you buy take your bulbs out and check to make sure the pins aren't equal or they won't fit(check photo) don't trust amazon if it says they fit. Wish I could just send these back FOC and they could post out ones that fit.
