Great strong 80's metal album! what separates this from their first two is the production,songwriting,hooks,vocals really improved but I do really like their first two [Steeler & Rulin' The Earth] & they have that roughness more underground sound.Strike Back may be a slight step towards glam/party metal & aiming slightly more towards American audiences. but don't get me wrong, THIS ROCKS!! It's much better than heavy plastic like Bonjovi & Europe,etc [blek!] Their Undercover Animal that came out after this,I just couldn't get into cause it was more heavy plastic sounding but not horrible.They shouldn't have evolved recordings from the equipment they used on Strike back,very analog & FAT!! to the digital sound 87/88 & on cause This album production wise is awsome!! Bass drums jump at you, I love it!I wish they'd reissue their first 3 albums,I lucked out & got this one before the price went way up & I've been looking 4 their first ep from 1982 & it's nowhere to be found which is ashame.Maybe someday Axel Rudi Pell will reissue them on one of his albums.Get this if you can!
