I use one for my 75g, and two in my 180g. I replace them about every one to two years. Absolutely worth it for the price. I love them because when they stop working, they just shut off. I know other kinds can malfunction and kick up to maximum temperature, with disasterous results. I've been buying these about 10 years and have never been unhappy.
