As you can see in the pictures, these LED modules contain rows of LEDs on the side of each cylinder and three LEDs on the end. I put these modules into a total of 10 Orbit 9011-VG and 9013-VG outdoor hanging tree lights 15 months ago. When I took a close look at them a few weeks ago I discovered that, even though all of the light fixtures still light up at night, all of the LED modules have some of the individual LEDs no longer working. I noticed this because several fixtures no longer make rings of light on the ground underneath them. It appears that the LEDs on the end of the modules are the ones most likely to die. My best guess is that they die when rain gets blown into the light fixtures. These modules are a nice replacement for the halogen bulbs that come with the Orbit lights but the LED modules aren’t going to last for the number of years you might expect when the light fixtures they’re in get rained on.These bi-pin halogen replacements worked as advertised. THe light is bright and just slightly warm as I like it. I replaced halogen 20W bulbs in small desk lights, and these bulbs are quite a bit larger diameter than the halogens they replaced, so they touch the glass plate that covers the bulb. Probably the glass plate isn't even required for LEDs since they won't produce harmful UV the way halogen does. And since they don't get too hot, touching the glass plate probably isn't a big deal either. THese are working great for me and I am very happy with them. I dropped my desk light from 20 W to 4W without compromising the quality of the illumination at all. Very nice.I don't want to nit-pick but I will. These were sold as having a 2.5W power usage. The box they came in says 3.5W. This may be a result of the wide voltage range (10-30V)?. While this won't raise the earth's ocean levels overnight (or at all if you're Republican) its the principle of it.I use the energy efficient leds to replace the halogen bulbs in my Malibu outdoor lighting. The color is just right and looks great. It is nice to save energy and money with these more efficient "bulbs".The brightness and color quality are perfect for this marine application. I wish I had found this product sooner.Replaces old bulbs and my outside lights are so much brighter!!Lots of power, but too tall to fit in my landscape path light fixtures. In their defense, they do publish the height. I was foolish. The La Farah 1.2 Watt bulbs fit my application.Great Product we use these by the 10's. We have a property that has hundreds of these on the pathway lighting, very high end look. ETA was Oct 3-16 came in 9-29 i was very pleased with the early delivery.
