This is wonderful. Very funny, an excellent plot (with a touch of “we know who done it, but what did they do?”), earthy, grounded, rude at times (Geraldine James is brilliant at that apparently), and beautifully acted by everyone. The camera work is brilliant - you can almost taste the pebbles on the beach.Daisy Haggard does superbly as writer and star. Her scenes with Adeel Akhtar are very special.The second series (a sort of aftermath building on the denouement of this first series) is equally heart-warming and funny.
