I have owned a different stretcher, all plastic. I recently moved cross country and it’s in a box…somewhere. I was happy with it, it was a reasonable price, and once I’d put it together, did just what it was supposed to. But here I am in a new state and I can’t find it. My back started flaring up (I have facet arthritis) and I needed help now. I found this particular stretcher by price because I figured it just needed to tide me over. This one was quite a bit less expensive than the style I’d purchased before.It arrived and didn’t need any putting together- already a plus because the other one took some strength. To adjust the curve, you just twist the bar at the bottom. Super easy. One way arches it up more and the other way arches it down. I love this because you can get it EXACTLY the way you want it - not just the 3 preset levels.This features bumps for acupressure and magnets for…I don’t really know. Seemed like something silly to me, but that’s just my ignorance.So once I had it to the proper curve, I used it. And please believe me when I say this one is so much better than my old one!!! Is it the bumps being in different places! Is it the magnets? Is it the ability to set it to the exact curve that works best?Honestly I don’t know - but I do know that this one makes my back even happier than the old one did.It doesn’t cure anything, nor does it profess to, but it’s pretty much magic for allowing me to live my life pain-well, not pain-free, but pretty darn close.My one piece of advice - once you’re done, ease it out from under you very carefully and just relax for a couple minutes before you try to get up.
