He was born in Guilford Connecticut, and attended Circle in the Square's Musical Theatre Program in NYC. His one-person show, Lonesome When You Go, was recently featured at both the Pulse Ensemble Theatre's OPAL series and the NBC network’s PSNBC program. Les holds a BA in History from the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied acting at the Wilma Theatre and performed with the award-winning Counterparts vocal jazz ensemble. He recently finished his second Jazz CD and performs frequently with his band, the Les Grant 5, in and around New York City. The LG5 features some of the top young jazz musicians in the city, and creates soulful and innovative re-interpretations of jazz, blues, and pop standards.
