I only compare that pillow with my old memory foam pillow that last 8 years. I was excited to get replacement for the king size. It feels nice right out from dryer. Just a little odor last about a week. But I can't get use to it already 3 months, it bothers my neck. I added more foam , and then remove half if that. It seems to get harder and firm over night. So not for everybody. I am side sleeper.I really like this pillow a lot! I took it out of the package and let it sit out in the room for a few hours to expand to full size. Then I washed the bamboo cover on delicate and dried it on low. It didn't shrink at all. I would like to mention that I'm very sensitive to chemical smells and my pillow DID NOT have any odor to it. I think that different sources of memory foam are used for the pillow fill and that might be why some folks are reporting a smell and others are not. It's VERY comfortable and you can adjust the firmness and height with the extra filling (or remove some if it's too big for your needs). The bamboo cover is very nice and I don't use an additional pillowcase, since it's washable. I also add a little extra filling and use it under my knees sometimes to relieve lower back strain and to help with my sciatica. It works very well for this also. An all-around great pillow.The memory foam stuffing in the pillows are very bulky. Even after removing some of the foam I still found them to be uncomfortable. I tried 3 nights and was unsatisfied as I like a pillow that I can fluff.I bought these to replace a solid memory foam pillow of my husband's that we accidentally destroyed. These are way more comfortable than it was, but they require fluffing basically every night to get the same comfort. They will compress and feel more solid, but they are easy to reform. We have found that using pillow shams instead of pillowcases, or at least pillowcases with a zipper, help it keep its shape longer.Super comfy pillow. I love the adjustability of being able to take out & put in stuffing until it is just right. You do need to re-fluff each day, because the area your head was in does dip in a bit, but not badly. While it is cool on contact, it does not stay cool for long (although it doesn't get hot either). The short term of the cooling is the only reason this isn't a 5 star from me.This pillow is filled with randomly sized memory foam pieces that can be adjusted for your comfort by adding or removing these pieces. This was a somewhat challenging process for me. Additionally, this foam has an odor which takes a while to dissapate. It took several days of leaving the stuffing exposed to air in a vacant room in my home. The odor did go away. Because of the randomly sized foam pieces, the pillow does have a little lumpy appearance, in spite of the substantial pillow cover included with this package. This doesn't seem to effect sleeping comfort. The weather hasn't been warm enough for me to judge the cooling effect. The price was reasonably moderate.I absolutely love this pillow. It is too full of memory foam when you receive it, but you can remove some of it to fit your comfort. Or, it even comes with extra memory foam if you need to add more. I've been using this pillow for about 10 nights now, NO neck pain whatsoever. Neck pain went away after very first night sleeping on it. Recommend highly!This pillow is awesome because you can remove some of the stuffing if it's too full for you. I find it useful as a bed pillow but also for use when lounging on the sofa. It smelled terrible when it arrived, so I stored it in the basement while it out-gassed. It only took a few days to smell fine. Great pillow!
