Suggest you purchase ties that are adjustable but the product is quite prettyThese tie backs are attractive and seem well made. I am not sure about the gold plated part but it is overall appealing. The gaps are very useful as to how loose or tight you wanted your curtain to hang. Nice thought! The magnets are strong. I highly recommend this item if you are re-decorating to change moods to your room, living room or any part of your house that needs to be brighten up! I have this photo to share what the tie backs exactly looks! Turquoise, my fave color!They look great and when I'm not using them, these pearl like strands are kept on a side table in a very large shell for beach atmosphere decoration. The magnetic idea is great because we do not have to drill a hole on the wall. I enjoy the versatility of the height of where to hold the curtains back. I can place on different places on the curtain thereby controlling the amount of sunlight coming into the room. Ideal for medium thickness curtains. Magnets are strongLovely looking curtain tie backs, purchased to go around my peach/pinky curtains purchased from Next which have little bobbles almost identical to the curtain tie backs down the full edge of the curtains where they close together etc. But obviously when held back the tie backs will most definitely be a perfect match to the curtain design and colour of the bobbles etc. I have not yet put the curtains up in spare bedroom because I am awaiting the decorator, but having put the tie back on the top of the curtains I know they are going to look perfect. Very feminine and exactly what I was looking for. Definitely recommend.These magnetic curtain tie backs are really lovely & look great, I wanted something a little different from the usual type & these are really pretty. The only problem is they slide down the curtains because of the weight of the beads. They do suggest to wrap around twice if this is a problem, but they were so tight then that it looked ridiculous. I wasn’t expecting them to weigh as much as they do, which is why I only gave 4 stars.I received 2 tiebacks, they compliment my curtains very well.They hook on using magents, very easy to remove and put back on.I like the design, no need for wall hooks. Needed some tie backs, finally got round to getting a pair and I like them.I love these curtain ties but for them to work properly you need great big thick heavy curtains as they just slid down the curtain. I over came this issue by attaching a small hook to the wall. Allowing a small piece of the curtain to go between the magnets might help too.
