As written above - I opine the following: so far I have only used the inner part, which I use with liquid soap on, then rinse before a second use. I find it easy to manoeuvre, being able to slide it to and fro working it across my back diagonally; but my 4 stars are because I find it narrow compared with other ones I've used. This is not to say it doesn’t do its job effectively - it is purely my opinion. It also has a separate pad with band which like it's other side could be used eg to exfoliate but I have yet to try it, as I prefer the inner side.
